We ordered three of these shelves to go across the back wall of our study. I wanted something tall with completely adjustable shelves, and there aren't a ton of options for shelves that can truly customize the location of each shelf. I was weary of ordering a brand I had never heard of before, but when I saw some Tvilum shelves at an office store, I felt more comfortable buying this online.The shelves arrived in 2 day shipping, but when we went to put them together, there were major cosmetic damages with the contents of each of the 3 boxes. We are taking major smooshed parts that reveal the particle board interior. There was so much damage that we couldn't put the shelves together and had to order replacement parts directly from Tvilum. The replacement parts took over a week to be delivered, which means the open boxes full of "shelf bits" were scattered throughout the living area of my home for over a week. But once I got them, it was obvious their quality is comparable to the cheapest bookshelfs. The finish had a few minor defects upon openning the packages. Putting them together was ok. Then once I put books in them, the shelfs started to bend. That's the most dissappointing fact. I had cheaper shelfs before, and they were stronger. It is too much effort now to return them now, but I will have to replace them eventually. |
